We’ve added a new feature to BrainHQ–the brain reserve check-in! “Brain reserve” measures a person’s level of overall brain health and cognitive performance. Now, when a person begins the program, they’ll answer a few questions and take a short assessment to see an estimate of their brain reserve level–whether it’s high, average, or low–and how their level compares with other people like them.

The check-in starts with a few simple questions about brain conditions and lifestyle habits–things that can affect brain reserve level.

Then comes a short assessment. In the assessment, users see three leaves appear briefly on screen, one after another. Their goal is to remember where the two identical leaves appeared.

The leaves appear more and more quickly as the user answers correctly–until they hit a level where the leaves are too fast. That sets the brain reserve estimate.
When the assessment is finished, users will see their brain reserve level.

They’ll also see how they compare to people like them–and find out how to build up their brain reserve!
We are excited about this feature and hope all BrainHQ users find it helpful in understanding their brain health!
