(SAN FRANCISCO, CA) Apple, Inc. began selling the brain fitness software program, InSight™, by Posit Science® in its retail stores across the country and online. InSight software consists of five game-like exercises with over 50 hours of original content that improve visual processing and enhance driving skills. The exercises are proven to increase reaction time by 300 percent and widen the user’s useful field of view, allowing the user to notice more in his peripheral view.

The benefits of using InSight include an easier time keeping track of multiple objects, like a child in a crowded playground or cars at a busy intersection. In fact, the technology used in InSight is proven in studies published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, to cut car crash risk in half. The program is also designed to improve visual memory. People who use InSight report finding it easier to remember where they parked their car at a shopping mall or where they left their keys.

“We are excited to have Apple choose Posit Science InSight as its first foray into the brain fitness software category,” said Sharon L. Delman, vice president of Marketing for Posit Science. “We are just entering the national retail market and we think that the Apple and Posit Science brands are a good fit as both are known for being innovative leaders and for delivering high quality products.”

InSight will be available in twelve Apple stores in seven states as well as online. The company plans to expand the rollout to more stores around the country in the future.
