This past weekend the New York Times continued its coverage of the Boomers reaching retirement age.
Interestingly, they tracked down and profiled the first boomer (at least one of the early ones) to reach retirement age; click the link to read more about this generation and one of its first born, Aloysius Nachreiner.
Oliver Sacks also published a terrific Op-Ed piece recommending the New Year’s resolution of keeping the brain challenged. Sacks shares some amazing examples of brain plasticity and encourages readers, saying “just as physical activity is essential to maintaining a healthy body, challenging one’s brain, keeping it active, engaged, flexible and playful, is not only fun. It is essential to cognitive fitness.” We couldn’t agree more!
