Many people wonder if fresh berries are more nutritious than frozen. And what about drying or freeze drying? In fact, Several studies have shown that drying, freeze drying, or freezing berries does not seem to have an appreciable effect on the flavonoid output. So however you eat berries – fresh, dried or frozen – you’re still getting brain benefits. Of course, when choosing dried or frozen berries, you’ll need to look out for added sugars and choose dried and frozen berries that are pure and unsweetened with no additives.
You can also get brain benefits from drinking berry juice, provided you consume it in moderation and look for juices that are pure and unsweetened.
